Right on schedule, ZTE has made the nubia Z11 Max official today. It's the second device in the Z11 series to be unveiled, following the Z11 mini. Now the only rumored member of this family that hasn't yet been outed remains the Z11.
The Z11 Max comes with a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3, a 16 MP rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, sapphire glass protection, and dual-tone LED flash, as well as an 8 MP selfie shooter with an f/2.4 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle capture.
Powering the handset is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 chipset, which boasts 4 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores that go up to 1.4 GHz, all eight in a big.LITTLE configuration. The Adreno 510 GPU is in too. RAM is 4GB, while built-in storage is 64GB, though expandable through microSD.
The nubia Z11 Max has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, and GPS. It has a 4,000 mAh battery and runs Android Lollipop underneath ZTE's nubia UI 3.9.9. Its dimensions are 159.15 x 82.25 x 7.4 mm, and it weighs 185g.
It will go on sale in China on June 16 in silver, grey, and gold for CNY 1,999 (that's approximately $304 or €267). Two days later, on June 18, you'll be able to buy the Cristiano Ronaldo Collector's Edition nubia Z11 Max, which you can see in the picture below.
This comes with the famous footballer's profile laser-etched onto the phone's back, alongside his autograph. You also get some free gifts such as Cristiano Ronaldo wallpapers, a Ronaldo protective case, and a selfie stick, and the whole special edition package will set you back CNY 2,299 ($349 or €307).
The nubia Z11 Max could turn out to be a fierce competitor for Xiaomi's Mi Max, though it is smaller than that 6.44" device. Specs are pretty similar on the other hand, as is the pricing.
